trips with historical trains

During the holidays, historical trains that connect the romantic highlights of the island also run. The trains run from Putbus to Binz, Bergen and Lauterbach, and for adventurous people there is the option of becoming active on trolley and locomotives. The railway opened in 1895 is a technical monument and offers a top speed of 30 km/h while steaming through the beautiful landscape.

The fascination of the frenzied Roland is not only on its trains, but also in its history and role as the symbol of the island. District Administrator Stefan Kerth emphasizes the importance of maintaining the railway for the future. "The preservation of such cultural assets is important so that future generations will enjoy this tradition," says Kerth.

catering and connection connections

The physical well -being is of course also taken care of: food is offered directly at the train station. In addition, the travelers have additional historical trains between Putbus and Binz LB.
