This special Sunday, also known as Eternity Sunday, traditionally focuses on the memory of the faithful who have died. In Pasewalk, the Advent season comes to life with a very special custom – the “Living Advent Calendar”. In this context, people meet from December 1st to 24th to sing together and share joy. There is also an introduction to this beautiful tradition in the Pasewalk parish. The next meeting will take place on December 13th at 6 p.m. in the Friedenskirche in Rothenburger Weg, Oststadt, where they want to help bring the church to life. The Friedenskirche, built on land that was once made available by Hanna Rother, is a place that was particularly important for the children of Oststadt.
A festive Advent
The Advent season, which officially begins on November 30, 2025, ushers in the anticipation of Christmas and shapes the very special customs of these days, as the EKHN explains.
