Parking in Pasewalk: Confusion about the ban on stopping at the train station!

In Pasewalk, a misleading traffic sign on Bahnhofstrasse is currently causing confusion among drivers. Not only residents but also visitors to the city are confused by the signs about parking on the popular street. The press spokesman for the Vorpommern-Greifswald district, Florian Stahlkopf, blames the unclear labeling.

In detail, a sign shows a “restricted parking ban”, which only allows short stops of a maximum of three minutes. Although this stop is permitted for getting in and out as well as for loading and unloading, long-term parking here is strictly prohibited. There is also an absolute no-parking policy in the vicinity of the well-known parking bays on Bahnhofstrasse, which extends to the junction with Haußmannstrasse. Despite these complex regulations, Stahlkopf and the public order office consider the current signage to be appropriate and understandable.
