Pasewalk shines: the magical night of 1000 lights inspires!
On Friday evening, the city center of Pasewalk shone in the magical splendor of the second “Night of 1000 Lights”. The event attracted many visitors who were enchanted by an impressive light installation by the light artist Marco Lüning. At Markt 1, he transformed the facade of a building into an art installation that thrilled the audience with various images in scenes. The atmosphere was magical and offered a perfect backdrop for an atmospheric evening program.
What would a night like this be without the right lights? Hundreds of fairy lights adorned a specially erected light tent on the market, while important buildings such as the church and the registry office were bathed in a warm light. This was all part of an art project that included hundreds of glasses that were collected and artistically designed by the non-profit organization Werk- und Wohnstätten GmbH (GWW). These glasses fit perfectly into the overall presentation of the night and contributed to the special atmosphere.
Diverse program
The event lasted four hours and offered visitors an extensive program. In addition to the impressive light show, guests could look forward to live music at two locations. The physical well-being was also taken care of so that no one had to go home hungry. In addition, numerous shops in the city center were open until late at night and invited people to do late-night shopping. Here you could do one or two good deals and enjoy the contemplative pre-Christmas period in peace.
The idea for the “Night of 1000 Lights” originally came from the Pasewalk housing association (Woba) after a planned summer festival fell through. This creative reorientation proved to be a resounding success, bringing the community together for a night of lights and joy. The financing of this event was supported by the City Management Fund of the City of Pasewalk.
Overall, the second “Night of 1000 Lights” was a celebration of encounters and creativity. The residents and visitors of Pasewalk were able to distract themselves from the cold of the upcoming winter in a warm light and enjoy the anticipation of the upcoming holidays. A big thank you goes out to all the organizers and supporters who made this night possible!
