Pasewalker E-Youth thrills at the Baltic Sea Cup in the Hansa stadium!

The e-youth of the Pasewalk/Rollwitz syndicate experienced a sporting highlight that made the hearts of the little footballers beat faster. Last weekend they took part in the Ostseecup in Rostock, a renowned tournament as part of the European Football Cup series, organized by Ballfreunde GmbH. In an impressive field of participants of 223 teams, the young talents were able to demonstrate their skills and compete in several exciting encounters.

SG Pasewalk/Rollwitz sent two teams into the race. At the opening ceremony, the players and 222 other teams played in front of around 5,000 spectators in the impressive Ostseestadion, home of third division team Hansa Rostock. The children will certainly remember this special experience for a long time. The SG's first game was played in the stadium, while the remaining games took place at the sports facilities on Damerower Weg. It was a real adventure for many of the young footballers and their parents as they camped on the grounds during the tournament and enjoyed the atmosphere to the fullest.

Successful placements

The exciting week for the SG ended with pleasing results. The first team was able to achieve 7th place out of a total of 18 teams in the highly competitive platinum group. The second team triumphed in the silver group and was able to celebrate the winner's trophy. A nice reward for the hard-earned training and commitment of everyone involved.

However, the positive news about football in the region is not limited to the tournament. The F.C. Hansa Rostock has also secured a place in the football history books! How ilove-rostock.de reported, the club's U19 and U17 juniors were promoted to the Junior Bundesliga North/Northeast. This promotion was officially confirmed by the Northeast German Football Association on April 27, 2021. This development is not only a sign of the club's excellent youth work, but also a great joy for those responsible such as Stefan Beinlich, head of the NLZ and Martin Pieckenhagen, sports director, who saw the success as a big step in promoting young talent.

Growing interest in children's football

The hype about football for the little ones is increasing in the region. The German Football Association (DFB) attaches great importance to supporting children in football, which is reflected in the diverse style of play and the adapted rules for the various youth classes. For example, the G youth (U 6/U 7) plays in small teams of two against two or three against three, while the E youth (U 10/U 11) already competes on larger fields and with more players. These formats, which are recommended by the DFB, not only promote the children's technical skills, but also team spirit and fair play.

Overall, it shows that football in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is more lively than ever - be it on the pitch in the Ostseestadion or in the region's small sports facilities. The future is bright and the emerging talents are ready to shape the next generation of football stars.
