Altwarp plans sports course: exercise for all generations!
Altwarp, Deutschland - The municipality of Altwarp is making a new way to promote the health and fitness of its residents. On Tuesday, June 17th, at 6 p.m. there will be a meeting in the parish hall, in which the municipal representatives want to take a fundamental decision on the establishment of a sports course. This course is intended to create an appealing range of movements for all ages and thus offer the opportunity to actively exercise in fresh air. The estimated costs for the project amount to around 30,000 euros, whereby the municipality is planning to raise funding to realize the project.
The need for such a range of movements is underlined by a current brochure by the Federal Association for Spielplatz equipment and leisure facilities manufacturers (BSFH). This was created in cooperation with the German Association of Cities and Municipalities (DStGB) and aims to promote movement course in public spaces. Especially at a time when the lack of movement increases in primary school children, the experts speak of a high need for such institutions. Regular sporting activity not only prevents diseases, but also ensures better well -being. It is therefore recommended to design the entire city as a space for movement and to include parks and green areas. Assessments such as that of Uwe Lübking from the DStGB make it clear: the active sports design is a task of the municipalities.
challenges of the sports facilities
In another context, the problem of investment deficit is discussed at sports facilities. According to a survey by the German Institute for Urban Studies (Difu), numerous municipalities are aiming to keep their sports facilities open in order to offer a diverse offer. But many are faced with serious investment residues. Last year, 94 percent of the municipalities had sports halls, 92 percent of sports places, and over half operated their own outdoor pools. Despite these figures, the number of sports facilities in many communities remains constant, what is the financing here? "About a quarter of the municipalities have built new sports halls or places in recent years, but the deficit in the existing facilities remains a challenge," said the DIFU study.
At the meeting in Altwarp, not only the sports course is discussed, but also other important topics such as the acceptance of donations and sponsorship services as well as a concession procedure for the power supply network in the municipality. The residents can be excited to see how this project will develop.
In conclusion, the question remains open whether the municipality of Altwarp can provide the necessary financial resources in order to implement the concept of a movement course into reality. In view of the challenges that many municipalities are facing with their sports facility offer, a good knack in planning seems essential. A sports course could not only promote the health of citizens, but also create a connecting element within the community. It is to be hoped that positive decisions will be made on June 17, the movement and health of all ages will promote in Altwarp.Nordkurier reports that ... Playground landscape explains that ...
