Christmas magic in Uecker-Randow: concerts delight everyone!

In anticipation of the Christmas season, numerous Christmas concerts are taking place these days in Eggesin, Torgelow and Ueckermünde. The Uecker-Randow district music school has once again put on a series of concerts with great commitment that attract both locals and guests.

The first two concerts begin today, December 9th, at 7 p.m. in the Luther Church Eggesin and continue tomorrow, also at 7 p.m. at the same location. You can hear the sounds of the Uecker-Randow Symphony Orchestra as well as performing soloists and the “New Voices” choir. Northern Courier reports on a harmonious program that includes works from the Baroque, Romantic, popular modern and also some classic Christmas carols. The well-known titles to which the audience is invited to sing along include “O Christmas Tree”, “Every Year Again”, and Peter Tchaikovsky's popular melody “The Nutcracker”.

A third concert is on the program this Thursday, December 11th, in the Ueckersaal Torgelow. Starts at 7:30 p.m. The Brandenburg Concert Orchestra will perform here under the direction of Jens Georg Bachmann. For the finale of the concert series, all music enthusiasts are invited to come to the Marienkirche Ueckermünde on December 13th at 4:30 p.m., where the Greifen-Gymnasium is hosting another contemplative concert.
