In charming Dargun, the anticipation of Christmas comes to life again. On December 14th the Dargun Museum the tenth fairytale world event opens. The motto for this anniversary is “Disputes and strife around the globe that threaten Christmas.” Here the children and fairy tale characters have the exciting task of saving the festival.
The event is offered to the public three times: at 2 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. the gates to a fantastic fairytale world open. Entry is free for children up to 12 years old, while adults can take part in the magical experience for just 3.50 euros. Registration is possible until December 10, 2025, either online or by email. Ticket reservations can also be made at the museum's stand at the Dargun Christmas market, which takes place on December 6th. Payment is made directly upon entry and places are limited.
Fairytale delights in the museum courtyard
The Dargun Museum, known as the region's largest museum for everyday history, not only invites you to puzzle out fairy tales. On the third Advent, visitors can expect an inviting Advent bonfire in the museum courtyard, where they can fortify themselves with waffles, cocoa, mulled wine and coffee. An atmospheric atmosphere is rounded off by Christmas music. Additional surprises are also planned for the last ten years of the fairy tale puzzle as part of this event, which are sure to delight the audience.
With an impressive exhibition area of 2000 m² and a total of 17 rooms as well as an outdoor area, the museum has welcomed over 95,000 visitors since its opening. Visits to the museum are supported by funding from the Fund for Western Pomerania and Eastern Mecklenburg, whereby, among other things, the renovation of the door and gate system was completed in a sustainable color scheme.
