Drunk and armed: threat to children in Jürgenstorf!
in Jürgenstorf near Stavenhagen, on Tuesday evening, June 11, 2025, a terrifying incident occurred that made the municipal residents listen to. At around 7:30 p.m., a 45-year-old Russian spoke to four Syrian children aged six on a playground in Birkenweg with a knife. Fortunately, this dangerous situation ended without physical injuries, since the children immediately reported the incident to an employee of the asylum seeker accommodation in which they live. The latter reacted quickly and informed the police, who quickly became aware of the incident, such as Tixio.
But that wasn't the end of the excitement. The 45-year-old drove away from the accommodation with his car after the incident, but returned without further ado. The Malchin police officers were able to find the man and his vehicle at the accommodation. It turned out that he had no valid driving license. The first breath alcohol test was not possible at this point, so a blood sample was carried out in the nearby Malchin hospital. At around 10:30 p.m., however, the police received reports about an alcoholic man in Malchin who mobbed passers -by and cars. This was also the same 45-year-old Russian.
drunkenness and threat
The investigation results were alarming: the breath alcohol test, which was carried out at 11:00 p.m., resulted in a proud 1.82 per thousand. Because of his behavior, the man was taken into custody and several criminal complaints were made against him. These concern, among other things, the threats of children, the drunkenness in traffic and driving without a valid driver's license. This shows how serious the situation was and that the authorities acted quickly and determined.
This incident also throws a light on the topic of alcohol abuse, especially in adults. According to Destatis, around 48,700 men in Germany were hospitalized in Germany due to alcohol abuse, which corresponds to 70.3 % of all cases. These statistics illustrate the great problems of alcohol abuse not only in youth, but also in adult life.
In 2021, there were most hospital treatments due to acute alcohol abuse in the age group of 15 to 19-year-olds, while the numbers are declining, especially in the current time due to pandemic measures and restrictions on contact. It will be interesting to observe how these trends develop and what effects you have on the community demands.
The residents of Jürgenstorf are happy that nothing happened to the children and the police could react so quickly. The municipality and the responsible authorities are now asked to take preventive measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
