Opening in Güstrow: Ex-occupational therapist's café enchants with enjoyment!
On October 2, 2025, a new chapter in Güstrow's culinary arts will open: Enrica Korsinski, a 51-year-old enthusiast with a passion for delicious food, is opening her own café at Mühlenstrasse 49. After a fulfilling career as an occupational therapist and training as a pastry chef, which she began in 2011, Enrica is taking the plunge into self-employment. She lives in Greater Ticino with her husband Hans-Georg and has fulfilled a long-held dream.
Their café carries the motto “Enjoyment and Tradition” and is committed to making people happy through tasteful and aesthetically pleasing products. Her philosophy is based on conscious nutrition without sacrifice, with particular emphasis on the use of organic products and natural ingredients. This includes edible flowers and high-quality raw materials such as organic spelled flour, organic cane sugar and organic butter.
A special kind of taste experience
The café's product range couldn't be more diverse: from custom cakes for special occasions to seasonal pastries, there's something to suit every palate. Enrica brings a challenge to the region by also offering gluten-free products to appeal to a wide audience. The range includes not only cakes and pastries, but also spelled and rye breads. It therefore fulfills the desire for a tasteful enjoyment without artificial flavors or industrially manufactured products.
Before the café attracts guests on opening day with a captivating alphorn and harp player, work is still being done at full speed on furnishing the restaurant. Enrica reports on the final preparations and necessary work that still needs to be done before the big day: “There are still a lot of small tasks to do, but I have a good feeling about it.” She particularly emphasizes that the focus is on various intolerances - advice on allergies and special requests such as vegan products are part of her concept.
A colorful contrast on the pleasure market
Enrica isn't the only one with gluten-free baked goods preferences. While Isabella Glutenfrei Pâtisserie offers a completely gluten-free range in other cities such as Aachen and Düsseldorf, it is taking the step to make similar products available in Güstrow. Isabella impresses with creative tarts and artfully designed chocolates that are clearly based on the trend of conscious nutrition.
With this diverse selection of gluten-free classics as well as seasonal highlights, Enrica could actually hit the mark. It follows a proven strategy that focuses primarily on taste and quality without compromising on health. The idea of using high-quality ingredients and combining craftsmanship with modern design elements could be the key to success in the Güstrow gastronomy scene.
At the gourmet markets in the Güstrower Wollhalle she has already won over many tastes and demonstrated her philosophy of “enjoyment without sacrifice”. The road to her own café may have been long, but the anticipation and desire to finally make her café dream come true is evident. Today the time has finally come: Güstrow can look forward to a new café that is run with a lot of heart and passion.
