International Days in Stralsund: Diversity and opportunities for students!

Hochschule Stralsund, Vorpommern-Rügen, Deutschland - What is going on at the Stralsund University of Applied Sciences? On June 17, 2025, the university organizes the International Days in Vorpommern-Rügen for the second time. With an exciting variety of activities and participants from around 20 universities in Europe and South America, this event becomes a real festival of international understanding and cooperation. In the meantime, a total of 120 partner universities have been represented at the Stralsund University of Applied Sciences, which further underlines international commitment.

The organizers have high expectations: "We want to make the university and the city more colorful and show our students and other interested parties the diverse international opportunities," says Caroline Neumann, the head of the International Office. The stands of the universities, which are built on the canteen in front, are particularly popular, as well as the numerous planned lectures that deal with different topics of international university.

a festival for all

A highlight of the International Days is the International Barbecue, which will take place on Thursday afternoon. Here the participants can not only enjoy culinary delights from different countries, but also make valuable contacts and exchange ideas and intercultural experiences.

The International Days are aimed not only at students, but also to university workers, pupils as well as other interested parties who are curious about the possibilities of international university. The event shows how important the exchange has become across national borders and how committed German universities take the initiative here. In this context, transnational education (TNB) is becoming increasingly important because many universities want to expand their international cooperation.

university cooperations on the advance

Germany has clearly positioned itself with the code for German university projects abroad. This code, which was adopted by the HRK general assembly in 2013, determines qualitative minimum requirements that take into account both academic and ethical standards. Universities that join this code not only show their commitment to quality, but also position themselves as an intercultural sensitive partner in the global educational competition.

All of these developments clearly show how important international partnerships are for universities in Germany. These not only promote the exchange of knowledge, but also help to make the academic landscape dynamic nationwide and in an international context. A good knack for international relationships is required and is impressively demonstrated at the Stralsund University of Applied Sciences.

Last but not least, reporting on these important events is also supported by NDR 1 Radio MV, which will report on June 17, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. on what makes the International Days so special and which impulses they will set for the university landscape.
