Emotional summer concert: New Voices inspire Ueckermünde!

On Sunday, June 15, 2025, the citizens' hall in Ueckermünde became the scene of a rousing summer concert of the women's choir "New Voices". Around 20 women, under the proven management of Kathleen Stage, presented a varied program that reached from Fröhlich to thoughtfully. The only male singer of the choir, Romuald Kalischewski, took over the musical accompaniment on the wing. The concert, which was a real joy for the listeners, was charmingly moderated by Kathleen Stage, while she shared exciting information about the pieces and its historical background. Jenny Stage and her daughter Amelie, who inspired the audience not only with their voices, but also with their stage presence.

The pure sound of the singers, who came into its own in the emotional song "As in Heaven", is particularly remembered. The energetic classics such as "We make music" by Peter Igelhoff, "Lollipop" by Julius Dixon and Beverly Ross as well as "For women this is not a problem" by Max Raabe arrived at those present. After a passionate appearance, the audience did not miss two encores, which perfectly rounded off the evening. According to Uecker Randow the event was a complete success and strengthens the good reputation of the district music school Uecker-Randow to which the choir belongs.

The women's choir "New Voices" has a proud story; Kathleen Stage has been leading the ensemble for almost 21 years, which is made up of 26 singers, including seven founding members. The choir regularly delights with appearances, for example at Christmas concerts in Eggesin or special prison.
