Dramatic border controls: Federal Police hold Schleuser and 20 migrants!

Pasewalk, Deutschland - On June 16, 2025, the federal police in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania carried out an extensive blow against smuggling crime. They arrested a 19-year-old Ukrainian who was suspected of illegally introducing 20 people to Germany. According to [news.de] (https://www.news.de/lokales/858701965/polizeiTicker-Aktuell-aus-pasewalk-insel-usedom-am-16-2025- traffic control, the Ukrainer was on the road with a polish car and received $ 1200. A particularly explosive background is that he had previously transported other migrants against a high sum of 3500 euros from the Belarusian border to the Baltic States.

Among the persons admitted were an Afghan and two Somalians who had already entered Germany illegally in the previous days. The federal police were also able to find three Eritreans who were arrested in Plöwen after a hunter. They also stated that they had come to Germany via Latvia and Poland. Another detail is the arrest of another Eritrean in Rothenklempenow, who was also on the same way.

The route of the smuggled

As far as the routes are concerned, it pays attention that two Sudanese were checked near the Seebad Ahlbeck station. They also reported that they had traveled across the Belarus route and were rejected accordingly. In a further incident, the police took two Moroccans on the L226 near Corschange at around 3:30 a.m., while nine more people were transferred to Pasewalk for inspection.

As the situation in the border area shows, the Schluschung war test is a burning topic. According to bka.de, the desperate wish of people, in a safe country, is often behind these illegal entry. The circumstances under which many migrants travel are not only dangerous, but often also due to a sad reality in which the smugglers unscrupulously take advantage of the emergency of people.

legal situation and punishments

The legal provisions for smuggling are clearly defined. The criminal offense of the unauthorized entry and stay in Germany is punished in accordance with Section 95 Residence Act, while interrogation is regulated in §§ 96 and 97. Anyone who is caught in the smuggling can expect imprisonment of up to 15 years if it is commercial activities, like that bpb.de.

The risks that migrants enter into are enormous: risk of injury, suffocation, dehydration - these dangers lurk on the sometimes illegal transport methods. Often people are financially unable to organize the smuggling themselves and see forced to make debts in order to get to Europe safely. This is a complex and worrying phenomenon of today.

The federal police and other authorities work closely together to smash smuggling networks and to protect people from the dangers of illegal entry. The struggle against slumping crime not only requires national intervention, but also international cooperation in order to effectively cope with the growing challenges of the limits.
