A 20-year-old man from Winsen/Luhe, Lower Saxony, wanted to enter the festival site as a daily guest with a valid ticket when he was stopped during a routine control. The security forces found a black market treasure in his backpack: around 300 grams of synthetic drugs, spread over 91 sachets, as well as eleven capsules cocaine and a fine scale. A rapid drug test was positive, whereupon it was temporarily arrested, but was later released. His cell phone was ensured and a search of his parents' house brought no further results. He is now facing a crime under the Narcotics Act while the investigation continues.

The festival, which takes place from July 10th to 14th, not only attracts music lovers, but also the attention of the authorities. The Ministry of Health in Schwerin has warned of the dangers that are accompanied by the consumption of drugs at such major events. In the past there have been dangerous pills that were identified at festivals, including at the Fusion Festival in Lärz. The Drugchecking team from the University of Rostock offers free drug tests at the parties to increase the safety of visitors. This educational work aims to prevent serious illnesses and even deaths. Among other things, dangerous pills such as the Pink Punisher, Blue Shiggy and Orange Chucky are traded - and experts have found over 120 milligrams of MDMA, some that can lead to heat shells when overdosed, especially in connection with the heat during such festivals.
