In the middle of the pulsating beat of the Airbeat One Festival, which is currently creating a mood at the Neustadt-Glewe airfield, the dark sides of the celebration are unmistakable. July 12, 2025 not only brought music and festival air, but also a worrying incident. A 20-year-old man from Winsen/Luhe, Lower Saxony, wanted to enter the festival site as a daily guest with a valid ticket when he was stopped during a routine control. Among other things, dangerous pills such as the Pink Punisher, Blue Shiggy and Orange Chucky are traded - and experts have found over 120 milligrams of MDMA, some that can lead to heat shells when overdosed, especially in connection with the heat during such festivals.
