The team, consisting of the fire brigades Wiebendorf, Bengerstorf, Greven, ownership and Kuhlenfeld, fought through the state excess and the German championship and is now facing an exciting competition.

The German championships in the "Traditional Competition Cifl" championships will take place on July 10, 2023 in Böblingen, Baden-Württemberg. For the team, intensive training weeks are imminent, which will be initiated with a training day on July 11 from 9 a.m. The big competition will be held on July 12 from 9 a.m. In winter, training was trained in a gymnasium in Ticino near Boizenburg, while in spring there were regular training sessions on a prepared area in Kuhlenfeld.

objective and challenges

The 400-meter relay race is especially in the focus of the troop. The team has set the ambitious goal of cracking the 400-point brand, although for the exercises, extinguishing attack and relay race may not take more than 100 seconds. "We have made good progress," the members report optimistically.

But the anticipation is clouded by a bitter disappointment. A possible qualification for the 2026 International Fire Brigade Olympics is within sight, but was prevented by the decision of the German Fire Brigade Association (DFV). The event should take place in Berlin, but due to the lack of financial resources, this will be nothing. "That hit us really hard," the fire brigade athletes show themselves disappointed with this decision.
