Neubrandenburg in Bundeswehr fever: tactics, technology and consolation!
Neubrandenburg, Deutschland - On June 28, 2025, Neubrandenburg was a focus of the event, because the Bundeswehr opened its doors to the public as part of the “Bundeswehr Day”. Around 16,000 interested people flocked to the city to explore military technology and tactics and to get into conversation with soldiers.
One of the highlights was the impressive demonstration of the Panzergrenadierbatalon 401 on the site of the Tollense barracks. The heavy guns were used here, while the tank drove tactically through the terrain, settled troops and simulated recordings. Over 1200 soldiers were on duty in the city to organize the event and to answer the many questions from the visitor -friendly guests. There were also exciting hands-on stations for the small and large adventurous people, including a shooting simulator and the opportunity to go in a tank.

These are not only military, but also in the civilian area - one aspect that was emphasized in the run -up to the event by an information event, in which future interested parties were able to learn everything about possible professions. Over 81,000 of the more than 265,000 Bundeswehr members work in civilian functions, for example as engineers or nurse.
In addition, there was a musical contribution through the army music choir on the marketplace, which rounded off the program. Numerous visitors even traveled from other federal states to get an impression of the vehicles on display and the presentation of the Panzergrenadierbrigade 41. At the same time, air monitoring was held by the Air Force, which showed spectacular overshoots from Eurofighers and other aircraft. All of this created an almost festive atmosphere that made the day unforgettable.
