Student friendships in the fast lane: Lübz visits Hamburg!

Lübz, Deutschland - in Lübz something is happening! Class 6a of the regional school has big plans: a visit to the partner school class 6b of the district school "Am Heidberg" in Hamburg is imminent. This was made possible by a micro-project funding of 1000 euros, which was requested from the district youth ring Ludwigslust-Parchim. On July 1, the symbolic check was handed over, in which the participation presenter Dunja Krachenfels was allowed to witness the joy of the students. Class spokeswoman Thekla and her colleague Lennard proudly accepted the check.

The anticipation for reunion with the Hamburg classmates is great among the Lübz students. At the end of April, the students from Hamburg attended the Lübz school and took a school rally and a city tour. During the time together, the students also tinkered with friendship hands, a project that they now want to complete the return visit in Hamburg. So there is a lot to discuss and show!

funding by the Foundation for Tolerance

This funding is part of a larger program of the Foundation for Tolerance and international understanding, which is directed against xenophobia, racism and intolerance. Innovative projects that are developed by and for children and adolescents in the new federal states and Berlin are particularly addressed. The foundation pursues the goal of promoting tolerance and cultural diversity, which corresponds to the actual spirit of this school partnership. In addition to the visit to Hamburg, which is planned from July 14th to 15th, other initiatives are also available to strengthen the exchange between cultures and promote mutual understanding.

The promotion of these projects shows how valuable school partnerships are. These connections not only have the potential to enrich learning, but also open up new horizons for students. That is why it is important to support such projects and see that there is a will to make friends across borders.

fun and learning in exchange

The student exchange offers a wonderful opportunity for everyone involved. "Getting to know each other, finding similarities and experiencing different school forms" is the declared goal of the Lübz students, and they succeed in an impressive way. At the beginning of the project, the students even wrote personal letters to their Hamburg friends and had organized a video conference in advance to get to know each other better.

The importance of such initiatives is repeatedly emphasized, and this is not only recognized in Lübsen. School partnerships across Germany are an important link between cultures. They promote the exchange, not only through joint activities, but also through personal contact, which is often the foundation for long -term relationships. It becomes clear that education and encounter can go hand in hand, and that such programs not only know knowledge, but also tolerance and respect.

The students in class 6a are not only looking forward to the return visit, but also to the many new experiences they will gain in Hamburg. It remains exciting what this partnership will still bring!
