Romantic castle Christmas: festive magic at the hilltop castle!

On Sunday, December 7th, the Stargard hilltop castle will be transformed into a true Christmas wonderland. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., guests from near and far are invited to get in the mood for the upcoming festival at the “Romantic Castle Christmas.” This popular event has become firmly established over the years and attracts numerous visitors who come to enjoy the festive atmosphere. Strelitzius reports on the many program items and the romantic highlights of the event.

The hilltop castle will be festively decorated. The focus is on the medieval chapel, which offers guests a warm welcome. The castle courtyard will feature various vendors offering regional products, crafts and lots of delicacies. For the hungry, there are both sweet and savory delicacies. There are highlights especially for the little ones: Santa Claus will not only stand in front of the decorated Christmas tree, but will also accept the children's wishes. Northern Courier emphasizes that a varied stage program with live music, dances by the Stargard nobles and a local choir, accompanied by local actors, provides entertainment.

A colorful program for all age groups

The event offers a diverse program that has something for everyone. The local choir kicks off at 11:00 a.m., followed by a performance by Kletterrose Elementary School at 11:30 a.m. Talented singer Ilinca Tsiple will perform at 1:30 p.m. before a magic comedy show enchants guests at 2:30 p.m. A fairy-tale aunt will tell exciting stories for the children in the vaulted cellar, while craft activities provide creative fun. Northern Courier also reports on the ceremonial cutting of the stollen, which brings visitors closer to the traditional German art of baking.

The entire event is free of charge, so everyone can enjoy the Christmas hustle and bustle in the picturesque setting of the castle. After December 7th, the castle traditionally goes into hibernation, making this day the last opportunity to experience the Christmas atmosphere up close.

Whether taking a walk through the festively decorated streets or enjoying a cup of mulled wine in front of the crackling fire basket - the “Romantic Castle Christmas” remains unforgettable. If you would like to find out more about the event, you can view the program on the Burg Stargard city website.

This event is a small part of the many Christmas markets that take place in Germany. A look across national borders shows that the tradition of Christmas markets is also of great importance in cities like Dresden, where the Striezelmarkt has been attracting visitors since 1434. There are over 200 stalls offering all sorts of delicacies and handmade souvenirs. Germany Travel highlights the diversity of Christmas markets and shows that the atmosphere of Advent is appreciated nationwide.
