Starting signal for dreistrom.land”: Art project brings community to Malchin!
Malchin is facing an exciting cultural time: On Wednesday, November 19th, the starting signal for the innovative cultural project “dreistrom.land” will be given. The event will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the kultur.schule Malchin. Admission is free and informal registration is recommended. The enthusiasm is palpable because this project aims to promote new forms of community, participation and exchange in the Demmin region.
With a total funding amount of up to 1.5 million euros over the next five years, “dreistrom.land” is part of the federal program “Aller.Land – shaping together. Strengthening structures.” This program is aimed specifically at rural, structurally weak regions in Germany and is supported by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and Media and the Federal Ministry for Agriculture, Food and Community.
Diverse sub-projects in focus
The opening of the kultur.schule will provide the framework for the presentation of several exciting sub-projects. This includes “mein.Block”, in which artists move into prefabricated apartments to develop participatory projects. “mein.Chor” promises a mobile singing project that invites you to make music together. And not to forget “our.Museum”, which reinterprets art and culture through the exhibition of objects from the stored Demmin Regional Museum.
A new cultural office at the kultur.schule locations will also act as a central network node to strengthen creative collaboration and exchange in the region. The implementation of these initiatives is eagerly awaited as they promise to give new impetus to cultural exchange in the region.
Funding and longevity
The “Aller.Land” program will provide a total of 69.4 million euros by 2030 to support actors from culture and art in structurally weak areas. At a time when rural regions are often overshadowed by larger cities, this initiative could make the difference and bring new momentum.
So secure your place in time and become part of a project that aims to enrich our coexistence through art and culture. Malchin continues to develop – there is really something going on!
