Grimmen celebrates Parkfest: old tractors, dance and large attractions!

This weekend it will be colorful and lively again in the Volkspark Grimmen when the 11th Grimmen Parkfest opens its doors. From Friday to Sunday, June 20 to 22, 2025, visitors can expect a wide range of attractions and a diverse cultural program. According to Ostsee-Zeitung around 50 dealers and several stages will be represented in the Volkspark. The tickets for the festival cost 5 euros per day or 10 euros for the entire weekend.

Bahnhofstrasse will be closed until a maximum of June 24, and it is requested to pay attention to the corresponding traffic signs. An absolute ban on stopping also applies in Karlstrasse, while the speed in the street of solidarity is reduced to 30 km/h. If you visit the Volkspark, you have to adjust to these changes to ensure that the festivities run smoothly.

Special highlight of the festival is the appearance of the pop singer Sebastian Hämer on Sunday. But that's not all! From folk and blues to rock and pop, visitors can expect a lively supporting program with numerous artists. The bands "anyway", "Like a Rock", "Bauer Korl", "Strandfunk" and the "Velgaster Bigband" will also create the mood. DJs, choirs, the youth wind orchestra and the "Grimmen brass music" will also do their best so that the festival becomes an unforgettable event.

As in previous years, the celebration will continue this year after the park festival in the cultural center. The inlet bands for the park festival are considered an admission ticket there. The park festival evening ends at 11 p.m.-then it is time for everyone to enjoy: enjoy a good mood and good music!

On Saturday, June 21st, visitors can also visit the Feldstein Church Ruins in Rolofshagen, where from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. the "Little Lucky’s Linedance Club" will show Irish dances and dances from the 1950s and 1960s. There is also coffee and cake, whereby donations are kind to the preservation of the church ruins.

A week after the park festival, the international tractor powder event takes place in Griebenow. On June 28, 2025, there will be a lot of celebrations from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.-a classic car meeting will take place in parallel. While the tractor powder is free of charge for children up to 6 years, children up to 12 years have to pay an entry of 2.50 euros and adults from 12 years.
