Hairdressers from Pasewalk conquer Berlin Fashion Week!

What's going on in the fashion world? Katharina Kleis, the owner of the Naturel hairdressing salon from Pasewalk, has every reason to be happy! She and her colleague Hanka Gorsky were chosen for the Berlin Fashion Week selected - one of the most important events on the international fashion scene, which takes place twice a year. Your task? Styling the stars of the catwalk and getting the most out of them in front of the spotlights.

Kleis and Gorsky were part of the make-up team at La Biosthétique and worked at the renowned Marc Cain show, which took place in the Telekom capital representative office under the motto “Meet you at the train station”. Here, 60 models were looked after by around 40 professionals, including 20 make-up supervisors and 20 hair stylists. The day before the show, intensive rehearsals took place during which the design team presented their ideas, because no model walked onto the catwalk without the designer's approval.

Backstage atmosphere

It was an exciting experience for the hairdressers, especially when they were able to give Dutch supermodel Romee Strijd a touch-up right before her appearance. “The atmosphere backstage was just electric with lots of photographers and fashion company employees,” said Gorsky. Contrary to some prejudices, the models and celebrities were extremely likeable and did not show any star airs.

Among the celebrities they met at the after-show party were Ronan Keating, Sylvie Meis and Frauke Ludowig. The Naturel team was also able to take home valuable trends for the coming year, including new products that are not yet on the market. The salon is now part of this great event for the fifth time and for the third time in a row.

Popularity and successes

The successes speak for themselves: Salon Naturel took third place in the test customer competition among 65 salons from Germany and Austria. “We are proud of what we have achieved and would accept again at any time if La Biosthétique invited us again,” says Kleis optimistically.

The Marc Cain show also offered an impressive presentation of different types of women and fashion styles created by La Biosthétique under the direction of Alexander Dinter. The hair trends ranged from long, medium-parted hair to stylish ponytails, all emphasizing a natural, airy look. The individuality of the models was particularly highlighted.

Inspired by such events, many hairdressers see Berlin Fashion Week not only as a platform to present hair and make-up trends, but also as an opportunity to exchange ideas with like-minded people. The make-up team at the Marc Cain show focused on strong, individual looks and emphasized the importance of well-groomed skin, which was also the case with the last one Couture Week in Paris was observed.

With these experiences under their belt, Kleis and Gorsky are well prepared for the next challenges in the world of fashion styling. Who knows which stars they will meet next time and what new trends they will be able to create?
