Start of the season: 131 junior teams are playing in Vorpommern-Greifswald!
The 2025/26 football season in the Vorpommern-Greifswald Football Association starts after the summer break and brings a breath of fresh air to the region's lawns. A total of 131 youth teams from six age groups will compete in the game. A reason to be happy for the many little footballers and their supporters!
The E-Youth is particularly popular with 39 teams who will fight for images of fame and honor in five different relays. Close behind are the F-Juniors, whose 32 teams compete in four relays. The D-Juniors are starting the race with 21 teams, while the C-Juniors, who play on a large field and in the Norwegian model, have a total of 17 teams. 11 teams are expected in the B-youth and G-youth, but there are no games for the A-juniors in the district association. The first whistle blows on the second weekend in September.

The youngest at the ball
The G youth (U6/U7) offers an exciting playing experience with formats such as two-on-two or three-on-three on a small playing field. There are no goalkeepers; Shots on goal can be taken from the halfway line or in the six-meter shooting zone. In order to make the game fair for everyone, the players are replaced after every goal. The games are short tournaments in which the young footballers can play up or down - a great opportunity to gently introduce the little strikers to the competition, as shown on dfb.de is to be read.
In the F-youth (U8/U9) the game becomes even more exciting with three to five players per team, although here too the game formats are adapted to the age group. Whether it's four mini goals or two small field goals, the focus is on shared experiences of success for the little heroes. The E-youth (U10/U11) also play five-a-side and seven-on-seven games on different pitch sizes, which encourages the children's enthusiasm.
We wish all players, coaches and supporters an exciting and successful season! Further information about the game rules and formats can be found at kinderfussball-rules.de.
