51 high school graduates shine: dream grades at the private boarding high school!
Today, July 15, 2025, 51 graduates of the private boarding high school Schloss Torgelow can look back on their impressive Abitur achievements. In a solemn ceremony in which school founder Mario Lehmann gave a moving speech, the year group was recognized for its outstanding academic achievements, team spirit and human warmth.
Excellent services
With an overall average of 1.75, the school can look forward to a particularly successful year. Four high school graduates achieved the top grade of 1.0, including a talented 16-year-old girl. A classmate was also able to shine with an average of 1.2. Over 60 percent of final grades are between 1.1 and 1.9, which is a remarkable achievement. Many of the graduates have been at the school since fifth grade, which made a close community and individual support possible.
Each high school graduate received a personal honorary speech that underlined the special connection to the school and its contributors. This individual attention and learning in small classes have provided the students with a strong foundation for the future, so that 48 high school graduates have already made clear plans for the time after high school. The majority plan to study medicine, law, engineering or business administration. Some prefer to take a break to discover new things.
Tradition and recognition
In a traditional event, an advertisement under the title “51 names you should remember as an employer” has been published in respected German daily newspapers since 2015. This advertisement is reserved for years with an overall grade point average below 2.0 and highlights the outstanding performance of the graduates. Torgelow Castle has achieved this goal every year since its inception, which underlines the quality of the training.
The Abitur is considered the highest school qualification in Germany and is a prerequisite for studying at universities or equivalent universities. In 2022, around 259,300 high school graduates were counted nationwide, but the processes and failure rates vary greatly between the federal states. The awarding of censorship is not very comparable because it is weighted differently in different federal states.
During the qualification phase, students can deselect subjects and concentrate on specific areas of focus, which paves the way for personal interests and strengths. The educational landscape in Germany offers many opportunities for obtaining the Abitur, but the traditional high schools and integrated comprehensive schools with a high school level are still the most common training centers for high school graduates.
In summary, it can be said that the high school graduates at Torgelow Castle are well prepared for the challenges of their lives and can look back on their achievements with pride. It will be exciting to see what paths they will take now.
