Torgelower City run: 127 runners fight for fame and medals!
Ueckermünde, Deutschland - The 29th Torgelower City run took place on June 22, 2025 and was able to look forward to a lively participation of 127 runners: inside. Mayor Kerstin Pukallus praised the 1st LAV Torgelow for the successful organization and the great atmosphere during this event. The event was a complete success and once again showed that running in the region is very popular.
The day started with the traditional opening racing over 400 meters, in which the youngest were able to demonstrate their skills. Here Charlotte Arndt triumphed from SVG Eggesin 90 for the girls in 2:21 minutes, while Willi Keller from the Strasburg primary school crossed the finish line for the boys in 2:23 minutes. The enthusiasm was great, and the little athletes showed: with a lot of vigor, what they were made of.

The organizers were enthusiastic about the high number of participants and the positive feedback. Sven Lorenz, the head of the club of the 1st LAV Torgelow, expressed his satisfaction about the smooth process and the great performance of the participants. Furthermore, the support of the city of Torgelow, in particular by the building yard and the regulatory office, was highlighted.
Next events at a glance
For all running enthusiasts, it continues: On July 5, the Uecker-Randow run cup with the Mönkebuder Deichlauf is on the program. These events are not only an excellent way to do sports, but also to get together in the community and motivate each other.
Overall, the Torgelower City run was a festival of sport, in which each participant was not only allowed to go to their own limits, but also went home with a souvenir cup. It remains to be seen that the upcoming running events will bring as much joy and success.
