a festival for the community

The Lions Club Engagement goes beyond the framework of this festival. An example of this is the 70th annual Mattituck Lions Club Strawberry Festival, which takes place in Mattituck, New York. Patch writes that the celebrations will begin on Wednesday and last day, father day. Visitors can look forward to delicious strawberries, rides, handicrafts and a crowning glory of the Strawberry Queen. In addition, competitions such as the World Strawberry Shortcake Eating Championship are organized. Another highlight are the final fireworks on Sunday evening.

social responsibility in focus

Back in Niagara, the Lions Club also shows that social engagement is important. The South St. Paul Lions Club organizes a calendar raffle annually with a total price of almost 15,000 USD, which are donated to the community. South St. Paul Lions informs that the lots are available in late autumn and cost $ 10 per piece, whereby almost every ticket holder has a chance of win on every February day.

So

It is a wonderful opportunity to have fun both and to support the community. If you don't yet know how to spend your weekend, you will find many exciting opportunities that will put a smile on your face!
