The cold season is currently causing frosty temperatures in Ludwigslust-Parchim. On December 3, 2025, the German Weather Service (DWD) issued a weather warning warning of frost in the region. This was announced at 7:10 a.m. and applies to the night and morning of the same day. Temperatures are expected to be between 0°C and -2°C, which could pose some challenges for residents.
The affected communities are diverse and include, among others, Barkhagen, Dobbertin, Gallin-Kuppentin, Ganzlin, Gehlsbach, Kritzow, Lübz, Neu Poserin and Plau am See. The DWD recommends that all citizens take appropriate frost protection measures to avoid damage to plants and vehicles.

As wetterfähren.de adds, the weather situation is characterized by Atlantic low pressure areas and a high over Eastern Europe. In the east, south and center of Germany, frost temperatures between 0 and -4 degrees may occur in some areas this morning. Light frost is still forecast for the coming nights, so it will stay cool in the coming days.
In addition, there is a risk of slippery conditions caused by freezing rain, especially in the mountains and some other regions, which requires more attention when driving. The risk of slippery conditions will decrease quickly in the morning, which should ease the traffic situation for commuters.

Light snowfall could occur particularly at higher altitudes on Friday night, especially in Bavaria, where local amounts of fresh snow of 1 to 3 cm, sometimes even up to 5 cm, are possible.
