The playground on Bleicherberg recently reopened after a comprehensive renewal and now attracts with new play equipment that offer both fun and security. The renovation work at this playground, which is reminiscent of the historical location of a Slavic castle from 1170, cost the city around 126,000 euros. The previous play equipment had already been dismantled in 2019 due to defects. A highlight of the new offer is the large game castle that takes up the design of the old Slavenburg. Special features are barrier -free swings, a trampoline and a climbing network - the ideal basis for promoting the imagination and motor skills of the children.

The reopening of the playground was greeted with joy by the teachers, such as Laura Schulz. The children can easily reach the playground on the way to the kindergarten garden and experience the nearby nature. Mayor Dirk Flörke has given the kids a very interesting task: they should find a name for a new Viking statue in front of the vocational castle! The renewal work was carried out with a lot of care, and Karola Kimmen was significantly involved in the planning. The new devices come from the Spielart company and were installed by Hammer SHM GmbH from Lehnin Monastery. The Robinian wood building material used is considered particularly robust and durable, which the new play equipment is also very good for future operations.

In another part of Parchim, another playground was renovated in the Neuklockow district, which has been shining in new splendor since August 25, 2022. The conversion lasted four months and happened under the supervision of Mayor Dirk Flörke. Here, too, the focus was on the design and functional upgrading of the playground, with existing devices being supplemented. Athletic areas received an update, so that the kids now have more opportunities for movement on a newly profiled volleyball area and with a basketball basket.
