Gadebusch in a new shine: The metal local panel inspires visitors!

In Gadebusch, the heart of history beats higher. The charming city, which is almost 20 kilometers away from Schwerin, now has a new attraction to offer: an artistically designed metal local panel that invites visitors to linger and take pictures. The table is located in the picturesque environment of the historic town hall, which was built in 1340 and is therefore one of the oldest profane buildings in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Nordkurier reports that not only shows geographical data such as the height of Gadebusch above sea level, but also the geographical width of 53 degrees, which stands out is important for the climate of the region.

This new attraction was initiated by Rudolf Pieper, the former mayor, and is another highlight in the series of well -known attractions around the town hall. Here you can already find the European pillar, the pillory and the coin rackets, which also offer good photo opportunities. Mayor Arne Schlien wishes that many visitors immortalize themselves in front of the board and would like to thank Pieper for the foundation of the local board.

a place full of stories

Gadebusch is more than just a pretty backdrop. The city offers its guests a comprehensive tourist experience that begins in the visitor center in the museum facility. Here interested parties can get advice on stays, activities and the many offers in Gadebusch and the surrounding area. gadebusch.de adds that the center has a variety of flyers, which includes information on local events and a small shop.

A very special experience is the fairy tale trip through the city. This leads through the old town, the shady city forest and around the idyllic castle lake. Visitors can relax on the so -called "speaking benches" and learn more about the legend of the "drummer". For those who want to explore the stories of the region themselves, a fairy tale card is available that shows the path along the Sagen- und Märchenstraße.

Mecklenburg's cultural heritage discover

The historical environment of Gadebusch is characterized by a variety of sights. In addition to the town hall, visitors in the Renaissance Schloss and the St. Jakobus town church can experience the story up close with the royal chapel and the grave slab of Queen Agnes of Sweden. Mecklenburg-schwerin emphasizes that are both the castle and the church of cultural monuments.

The city lives not only from its history, but also from its cultural offer. The Förderverein Renaissance Schloss and Museum Gadebusch e.V. organizes tours and bike tours, while exhibitions and events take place in the museum. At the traditional city festivals, such as the coin festival or the Gadebuscher autumn market, the connection to the region comes to life. And this year Gadebusch celebrates 800 years of Lübischen City Right - one more reason to visit this charming city.
