Culture and nature: weekend highlights in Boltenhagen and the surrounding area!
The Northwest Mecklenburg region has a wealth of activities coming up next weekend. Anyone interested in culture, nature and regional products will find numerous exciting events.
A special highlight is the concert in the Baltic Sea resort of Boltenhagen. On Friday, September 19th, Andreas Holzmann and the “Casanova Society Orchestra” will enchant listeners with music from the 1920s from 7:30 p.m. Tickets for this musical spectacle are available at the Boltenhagen Tourist Information Center for 20 euros. A guaranteed treat for all light music lovers!
Commitment to the environment
There is something to experience this weekend, and not just for music lovers. Residents also care about environmental protection. A beach cleaning will take place in Boltenhagen on September 19th. The meeting point is at 9 a.m. at the pier, while in Wohlenberg the helpers are expected at 10 a.m. at the beach parking lot opposite the fish shop. It's a great opportunity to take an active role in keeping the beaches clean and become part of the community.
For all readers who are interested in locally produced products and agriculture, there is an organic farm in the Klützer Winkel. At various farms, visitors can gain insights into the work of the farmers: whether it's guided tours of the farm, carving turnip lanterns or selling the farm's own products - there is something for every taste. A special highlight is the presentation of the work horses at 10 a.m. at the Schimmel organic farm.
Cultural variety in Klütz and Wismar
On Saturday, September 20th, Heidi Wendt's book presentation continues in the ballroom at Bothmer Castle in Klütz. Her latest work “Gehispering from the Registry Office” will be presented from 7 p.m., tickets are available at the box office for 10 euros. Another cultural highlight is the special breeding show for fox terriers, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the riding arena in Blowatz.
In Wismar, however, the bouncy castle festival is celebrated. On the same day from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., guests young and old can expect a lot of fun, delicious food and drinks on the grounds of the Old Town Volunteer Fire Department. The occasion is the celebration of a new bouncy castle, which was financed by donations from the Agerholm Foundation.
Music lovers can take a trip back in time to Sweden on Sunday, September 21st at the “Kittchen” in Wismar, when Kristoffer Bolander will provide a good atmosphere at 3 p.m. In addition to indie and folk sounds, visitors can relax with coffee and kanelbullar. Tickets for this are available in advance for 18 euros and at the box office for 20 euros.
Practical support and nature experiences
In addition, there will be a repair café in Wismar on September 21st, where tricky repairs will be examined from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Every customer can hand in a device - but televisions are left out. So if you have a small ailment with your gadget, you can have it sorted out here for a small price; donations are very welcome.
