Fusion festival: Tens of thousands of visitors can expect rail damage and special trains!

Lärz, Deutschland - The Fusion Festival, one of the largest alternative music and cultural festivals in Europe, starts next Wednesday at the picturesque Mecklenburg Lake District. The former Soviet military airfield in Lärz becomes a setting for tens of thousands of festival goers who look forward to an unforgettable experience. However, the arrival and departure will be a challenge for many, since due to construction work and train failures, there are considerable restrictions on rail traffic, such as Tagesspiegel reported.

As early as Tuesday after the festival, there will only be buses as rail replacement traffic due to the construction work and the failing trains between goods on Müritz/Neustrelitz and Berlin. The regional express line Re5 will therefore not drive between Berlin and Neustrelitz, but only from Oranienburg, while the Intercity trains between Berlin and Rostock also fail. In view of these circumstances, the organizers of the merger call for a sustainable replacement concept from the train and the transport association.

Special measures for festival goers

To make it easier to make travel, the railway has announced special special trains. These drive from Oranienburg to Lärz every hour and thus offer a direct connection for festival goers who are increasingly expected. The operation of these special trains starts from Wednesday and will take place between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., as well as VMV Verkehrsgesellschaft.

In addition, there are special trains from Neustrelitz back to Berlin on Sunday and Monday. These are also planned every hour, between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m., and thus offer a nice opportunity to come home after the festival. The last connection to Berlin on Monday will take place at 11:10 p.m. Another Highlight is the extension of the S8 S8 from Birkenwerder to Oranienburg to cope with the high demand.

calls to carpools

The railway strongly recommends that the festival visitors take off in time, especially on Sunday and Monday, to avoid long waiting times. In addition, a bypass to other railway lines will not be advised due to the limited capacities. Right now, the festival organizer is also calling up to form carpools or to use the "Bassliner" bus shuttle in order to be able to arrive together. The increased number of passengers, which are expected on June 30th and July 1, make good planning necessary, since other travelers should also expect a high volume of regional traffic, as is indicated in the Fusion Festival Forum.

But not only the journey is interesting: the festival program starts on Wednesday evening, while the big stages open their doors on Thursday evening. The fusion festival will take up to and including Sunday, thus promoting a colorful program for everyone.

Overall, there is a lot to consider for all music lovers who want to travel to the fusion festival. With the right information, a certain flexibility and willingness to use alternative travel options, nothing stands in the way of an unforgettable experience!
