Collided with deer: motorcyclist injured in a serious accident!

Neubrandenburg, Deutschland - A serious accident occurred on July 19, 2025 at around 2 p.m. on Kreisstraße 37 between Neverin and Neubrandenburg. A 24-year-old motorcyclist who was traveling on his KTM collided with a deer that suddenly crossed the street. The impact led to a fall in which the driver was seriously injured, but fortunately there is no danger to life. The emergency services immediately brought him to the Neubrandenburg Clinic, while the deer died at the scene of the accident.

The property damage amounts to around 3,000 euros. In addition, traffic disruptions were recorded for around 30 minutes after the incident, since the heavily damaged motorcycle had to be towed. Such game accidents are relatively rare and make up just under 1% of all traffic accidents, but have a disproportionately high proportion of personal injury. As reports motorcycle online, motorcyclists are particularly affected and make up around a sixth of all game accidents.

The dangers of game accidents

an annual accident between 2,500 and 3,000 people in game accidents in Germany. 418 people are seriously injured or killed among these, with 37.8% motorcyclists. Dense bushes and visual disabilities significantly increase the risk of such clashes. Motorcyclists should therefore be particularly careful and keep an eye on the side of the street in order to be able to react early.

Most of the severe game accidents occur in daylight, which increases tragedy because it is more difficult for many to recognize the dangers in good time. Innovative technologies such as infrared sensors who recognize wildly behind bushes could possibly help here. These systems are particularly important at dusk and darkness to warn motorcyclists in good time. Despite the previous measures, such as wild change signs and speed limits, the frequency of accidents and difficulties have hardly changed.

The role of security initiatives

The Björn Steiger Foundation, which was founded in 1969, has initiated significant progress in emergency aid in Germany. Among other things, this includes the introduction of emergency numbers 110 and 112 as well as numerous measures to improve emergency care for traffic accidents. The foundation is constantly working on new initiatives to avoid accidents and for training in resuscitation.

In view of the high injury rate among motorcyclists, it remains essential to take preventive measures. Motorcyclists should always be ready to brake, even if no immediate danger is recognizable at first glance. It is important to drive prudently and safely to avoid accidents and to increase your own safety in road traffic.
