MV Summer Games: A sports festival full of action in Neubrandenburg!

The premiere of the MV Summer Games in Neubrandenburg was a complete success and transformed the culture park into a pulsating sports spectacle. With an impressive area of 60,000 square meters, the event not only offered a great ambience, but also a wide range of sports activities that thrilled young and old. The Nordkurier media group was the organizer of this exciting event, which took place on July 5th and 6th and was all about sport.

The center of the action was the Center Court, which was equipped with 500 tons of sand and offered 1,100 seats. The VW Grützner Pro Cup took place here, in which former national and Bundesliga players appeared. Thomas Hahn, the chairman of Beach NB, was enthusiastic about the high number of participants and the quality of the competition.

Versatile sports program and culinary delights

In addition to beach volleyball, the program also included exciting disciplines such as 3×3 basketball, BMX, speedway, American football and martial arts. The Tollense Sharks offered flag football and children's safety training was held at the pump track for young sports enthusiasts. The offering ensured a lively atmosphere and a high level of fun and interaction.

Daniel Jahnke from “Rollkollektiv 4 Tore” highlighted the club’s valuable presentation as part of the MV Summer Games. Maik Jaeckel, the coach of PSV 90 Neubrandenburg, also wanted more advertising and the participation of other Neubrandenburg clubs in order to further strengthen the local sports scene.

The participants were not only offered a lot in terms of sport; Physical well-being was also taken care of. Visitors could choose from a diverse culinary offering, including burgers, sweet potato fries, crepes and ice cream. Entry was free on both days, while a ticket was required for the after-show party on Saturday, where DJs MondeWoo and Wankelmut played.

An event with a future

With this first edition of the MV Summer Games, an important step was taken in promoting sport in Neubrandenburg. The possibilities of using the Center Court for other events in the future were discussed. The idea for the event came about a year ago and the events have beautifully captured the essence of the sport in this region.

The variety of sports that were presented during the event shows how wide the variety of sporting activities is in Neubrandenburg. Events of this type help to not only strengthen the local community, but also stimulate wider interest in sporting events. The success of the MV Summer Games could be the start of a new tradition in the city, which could also play a role in another form - perhaps as part of a larger sports festival series.

In a year in which the sports world welcomes a multitude of top-class events, Neubrandenburg can proudly look back on its commitment to sport with its MV Summer Games. It remains exciting to see what further sporting highlights await the region in the future.
