Powerful theater evening: Fight for Troy inspires in Güstrow!

In the old bathing establishment of Güstrow there was a very special event: the play "Fight for Troy", which was part of a history project of the Freie School Bützow. This project devoted itself to the topic "The Old Greece" over a week and not only gave the audience dramatic theater, but also a deep insight into ancient culture. According to Nordkurier, over 200 guests could be present in both the dress rehearsal and the main performance. The audience included the kindergarten staff of Lebenshilfe as well as numerous parents, grandparents, siblings and friends.

The teachers of the Free School Bützow worked in various groups to prepare the event. Silke Koschak coordinated the entire work and ensured that the results of the various teams fell seamlessly. Under his leadership, the students made invitations, posters, articles and flyers who were supposed to support the event. The performance was practiced by Ms. BlueDzun, while Ms. Warnke took care of the props and Mr. Neugebauer created a creative set. Ms. Kruthoff also sewed the costumes, which gave a lively impression of the ancient Greece. Ms. Krohn, who prepared delicious dishes under the guidance of the participants, took care of the physical well -being. Dance and struggle, as an important motive, were impressively implemented by Ms. Grubert's group.

a piece of the ancient heritage

The fascination of ancient Greek theater still comes alive today. According to Kinoundco, the Greek theater experienced in the 5th century BC BC in Athens its heyday and developed into a central component of culture. Tragedies and comedies were listed in large open -air theaters, and the topics were often about moral and social conflicts. Well -known playwrights such as Sophocles and Euripides have created timeless stories that resonate to this day.

An example of modern interpretations is the play "Cities. Fight for Troy", which was visited by students from the Cecilien-Gymnasium and was presented by the Theaterkollective Subbotnik. In this performance, the creation of the ancient city was used live from sand, accompanied by technical frills and musical interludes, which fascinated some students, but confused others. Ronja from the 6a found the different playing style refreshing, while Maarten found the scenes shown less. In any case, the students agreed: theater is just fun and they would like to experience such exciting performances more often.

A look into the future

The Free School Bützow plans to carry out project days again in the coming school year that deal with various aspects of history and culture. The positive response to "fight for Troy" shows that interest in such projects in no way disappear. These performances do not only impart knowledge, but also create community and promote creative talents. The review of this event suggests that the cultural examination of history always remains relevant and continues to provide fruitful results.

Whether in theater or at school, the teachings from Greek mythology and the principles of ancient theater live on in a modern context and inspire new creative creations. This legacy is not only preserved, but also reinterpreted, while the stories of gods, heroes and human emotions remain strong and up -to -date.
