New coalition agreement: Opportunities for Rostock's rural future!

A new chapter for the Rostock district could spend the recently signed coalition agreement between the CDU, CSU and SPD. The contract, which saw the light of day at the beginning of May, has brought it to an impressive 150 pages and not only promises a variety of measures, but also opportunities for rural areas that are of particular interest in the region. District Administrator Sebastian Constien (SPD) carefully researched the contract and sees optimism for future development.

The strengthening of rural areas is particularly emphasized. In Chapter 1.5 of the coalition agreement, the importance of villages is discussed as a lifelong and lovable homeland. The federal government also plans to increase the funds provided for flood and coastal protection as well as for rural development. This gives hope for more financial support for ongoing projects in the district, which are funded from the GAK pot (community task to improve the agricultural structure and coastal protection).
