The Störtebeker Festival in Ralswiek started on June 28, 2025 with a dramatic premiere. The new piece "Fure about the Sea" takes the audience into the exciting world of the pirate Klaus von Alkun, who returns and is involved in the intrigue of his homeland. After a severe stroke of fate, he swears revenge and turns into Klaus Störtebeker to join the pirates. This exciting story is performed until September 13th and promises to inspire with impressive scenes and daring stunts.
The natural stage in Ralswiek, where the festival takes place, brings over 150 participants, including 30 horses and four ships. Daily highlights are also the spectacular fireworks over the "big Jasmunder Bodden" and an exciting bird of prey show that begins at 6 p.m. This year, the festival offers the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Klaus Störtebeker, an experience that should not be missed, as rueegen.de.
