Anklam, Deutschland - The Anklamer boy choir, an integral part of musical culture in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, faces a very special event. On Friday, June 13th, the traditional town hall concert will take place in the hall of the Anklam town hall. The Anklamer Buben Choir was founded in 1972 and is the only boy choir in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. This is not only a title, but also a responsibility that members bear with great commitment. The choir is currently rehearsing with children and adolescents between the ages of 7 and 20, with the main activities of rehearsal work and concert activities in Anklam and Western Pomerania. A highlight of choir history is the participation in theater productions and participation in festivals as well as national and international competitions.

The management of the choir has taken over Mike Hartmann since January 2004. Under his care, the choir not only developed a traditional repertoire, but also integrated modern vocal music goods into its performances. The choir is supported by a parent council and a support association founded in 2002, which is always looking for new members to further promote musical work.
