Anklam, Deutschland - in the heart of Anklam, the VFC Klam celebrated an unforgettable football festival that took place in bright sunshine in the Werner-Seelen-Stadion. The traditional summer tournament, which took place for the tenth time this year, was organized for the second time under the name Ford-Schröder-Cup. Over 56 teams from the region and beyond took part in this sporty highlight.
The starting signal for the weekend was given on Friday evening with a leisure tournament for adults, in which the focus was on fun and joy in the game, as VFC board member David Schulz emphasized. On Saturday, the highlight of the tournament, the E and F-Juniors competed against each other in exciting duels from 9:30 a.m. Not only local teams, but also well -known football schools such as Polonia Warsaw and the Greifswald FC were invited here. The D-Junior tournament with 16 teams took place in the afternoon, including the BFC Dynamo from Berlin.
The best teams and talents
The experts could also look forward to remarkable achievements. The DI-Juniors of the VFC Klam narrowly missed the bronze gang, while the C-Juniors made an outstanding appearance and ultimately claimed the tournament victory. Ole Hoffmann was also awarded the best player. The B-Juniors of the VFC stabilized by securing first place in a double round. Justus Heiliger was honored for his outstanding performance.
The E and F-Juniors fought for the winner's cup, with TSV Friedland triumph, followed by TSV Stralsund and SG Mühlenwind Woldegk. Nine Bambini teams started in funino mode; Here the SV Gützkow won, while VFC II and Grün-Weiß Ferdinandshof II followed in the places.
