Kremmin celebrates 90 years of fire service: A celebration for the entire region!

On June 15, 2025, the community of Kremmin celebrated an impressive anniversary: ​​the fire department turned 90 years old! A reason to celebrate that mobilized the entire village population. Military leader Dirk Amling, who has been in office since 2020, looked back proudly on the celebrations, which impressively demonstrated the solidarity and support of the residents.

The anniversary was properly celebrated with a festive parade that included 14 magnificently decorated floats and more than 150 firefighters. In addition to the active comrades, numerous citizens also showed up to support their fellow firefighters. The small community of Kremmin, with 254 residents and a fire department consisting of 24 comrades, 14 of whom are active, demonstrated that they can celebrate big together.

Folk festival with competitions

The celebrations developed into a real folk festival, which was supplemented by competitions and social gatherings at the local sports field. Mayor Ulf Riechert praised the services of Amling and the entire fire department. “Your work is not only important for Kremmin, but it also shows how committed the fire department is to the region,” said the mayor appreciatively.

This year, the Kremmin fire department has already had two missions, which underlines the importance of their work. The community has also already purchased a new personnel carrier for 65,000 euros, which is expected in the next few days. The main equipment remains one of the state procurement vehicles, a TSFW, which ensures operational readiness even during the week with two to three emergency services.

Special features of the move

A highlight of the parade was the historical fire brigade technology, which caused great interest among the spectators. The Kremmin fire department was supported by fire departments from neighboring villages and Brandenburg. The Grabower Wehr in particular made its contribution and increased its presence at the parade. The next big celebrations are already being planned: The 100th birthday of the Kremmin fire department is scheduled for August 1, 2035.
