Adventure hike: Parchimer students conquer 117 kilometers!
In Parchim, the students of the orientation level of the Evangelical School "Paulo Freire" have embarked on an impressive adventure. From June 15 to 2025, they hiked a total of 117 kilometers from Osterburg to Parchim, a trip that not only brought physical challenges, but also a strong sense of community. Nordkurier reports of the various stages that the group has gained, and the experiences they gained.
The trip started with a train journey to Osterburg. On the first stage, however, the students had to cope with uncomfortable weather. A heavy rain surprised the hikers, who, pitsch wet, arrived in Seehausen and stayed there in the gymnasium of the elementary school.
The next day led the group to Wittenberge, where they not only crossed the Elbe bridge, but also examined a construction site of the A 14. There they spent the night in a parish hall and covered a total of 20 kilometers. There was also a visit to the outdoor pool in Perleberg, where the young people jumped from the three -meter tower and thus found a little cooling.
The challenging stages
One of the most exciting parts of the hike was the fourth stage to mountains, which was the longest route at 27 kilometers. Despite the challenges, all students managed to master this route. In mountains they were rewarded with a refreshing ice cream for their efforts and stayed in the primary school's sports hall, where the evening ended with a round of basketball.
The fifth stage to Suckow was the shortest at 14 kilometers. Overnight sites such as an old rectory and a parish hall had their own charm, but there was a small dispute over the accommodation options, which was luckily settled quickly. Finally, the group reached the last stage to Parchim, which they finally got behind with a proud feeling of 20 kilometers. With this last route they cracked the 100-kilometer mark and were visibly proud of their performance.
The students of course did not make this unforgettable trip alone. The young people were particularly touched by the support of their parents, who were helpful in hiking and meals. A big thank you goes to Papa Tobias for his excellent route planning and Papa Jochen for his medical support during the tour.
hiking projects at school

Educational server mentions that such excursions are gladly used to make school trips and school projects exciting and educational.
The company's company is not only a memory, but also an important step in their development. Such an experience forms characters, welds together and offers unforgettable experiences.
