On Saturday, an important anniversary is celebrated in Neuenkirchen: SV Jahn Neuenkirchen looks back on 100 years of football history. This big festival takes place around the sports facility near Neubrandenburg and promises to become an event for the whole family. The celebrations start in the morning at 9:30 a.m. with a football youth tournament that attracts ten teams from the area and even the fathers of the children. The roots of football in Neuenkirchen go back to 1925, when Werner Horn the S.G. Neuenkirchen founded. This was followed by various follow-up clubs, including the BSG Tractor and today's team, SV Friedrich-Ludwig-Jahn. From 2013 to 2020, the association experienced some sporting challenges in the Landesliga Ost among the coaches Bernd Jakowlow and Joachim Maraldo. But since last season, SV Jahn has been active again at the state level with 170 men, including a 1st men's team, a district class team and a Ü35 gold team.

The club management also focuses on young talent work and currently looks after 70 children.
