Summer Dance Gala Neubrandenburg delights with Colors of Life”!

Last weekend, more precisely on June 21, 2025, the HKB in Neubrandenburg was sold out and was also the venue for the spectacular summer dance gala. The event, which was organized by Veranstaltungszentrum Neubrandenburg GmbH, celebrated not only the art of dance, but also the 60th anniversary of the Neubrandenburg dance campaign. “Colors of Life” was the motto of the gala, which took viewers on a moving journey from birth to death.

Over 150 participants, including talented dancers aged 7 to 28, thrilled the audience with their performances in a wide variety of dance styles. From children's dance to folklore and contemporary dance theater pieces, there was something for every taste. The creative diversity once again demonstrated the commitment of the young dancers, who train differently depending on their age - the youngest ones once a week, while the older ones rehearse up to three times a week.

The moderators and emotional applause

The gala was accompanied by the charming presenters Maia Schiwek, Jürgen Sill and Mia Marie Heyden, who led through the program with humor and sensitivity. Particularly noteworthy is Maia Schiwek, who will soon begin her training at a dance school in Hamburg. Her fellow contestant, Mia Marie Heyden, who has been dancing since she was four, said after the performance that she would like to continue to be part of the dance group.

The emotional highlight of the event was the thunderous applause with which the audience rewarded the dancers after the last performance. This showed once again how much the art of dance touches the hearts of the audience. The HKB was not only a place for drama, but also one for togetherness, joy and community.

The future highlights

The summer dance gala is not only a highlight of the year, but also gives hope for further exciting events at the HKB. The ticket service and the Neubrandenburg Tourist Information Office are already in the starting blocks for future events, ranging from musicals and classical music to rock and pop. The opening hours of the ticket service are Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased both on site and online, and vouchers and ticket delivery are also available.

Neubrandenburg once again shows itself to be a lively cultural location that, with events such as the Summer Dance Gala, brings regional and national audiences closer to the colorful diversity of the art of dance. For those interested in future events, it is worth taking a look at the Neubrandenburg Event Center website so as not to miss any highlights.
