FC Neubrandenburg 04 fights for the championship title against RB Leipzig & Co.!

The C juniors of 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04 are facing an exciting weekend. On Saturday, June 15th, they will take part in the Northeast German championship in Thalheim (near Bitterfeld/Wolfen). This participation is the result of their remarkable qualification as the new national cup winners, which they achieved exactly a month ago. Coach Tilo Berner explains that this tournament is the highlight of the season and at the same time the culmination of a successful year.

The first opponent at 3 p.m. will be the offspring of RB Leipzig, a team that plays in the first division. In addition to Leipzig, Carl-Zeiss Jena and Turbine Potsdam are also on the program on the first day of the tournament. On Sunday, 1. FC Magdeburg and Hertha BSC are waiting for the Neubrandenburgers. Four weeks ago they reached their limits in the duel against Hertha BSC and lost 2-0. However, the players know each other well as they have often played together in joint national selection measures.

A focus on talent

This year, the Neubrandenburg women can celebrate a special player in their squad: Lara Klein was nominated for the U15 DFB screening course, which underlines her outstanding performance and development. Captain Marleen Maibohm also has an emotional farewell ahead of her as she is moving to 1. FC Jena in the summer. For top performer Emely Manzel there will be an exciting duel against her new club, 1. FC Magdeburg.

Last year, the Neubrandenburg women finished the championship with a solid fifth place. This time they have the goal of improving further and perhaps even winning the title that Turbine Potsdam won in last year's tournament.

Sporting challenges and personal stories

The opponents are strong and the challenges are high, but 1. FC Neubrandenburg is optimistic. The players have trained hard over the past few weeks and are ready to give their best. They know that success lies not only in the result, but also in the shared experience and team spirit that binds them together.

For the Neubrandenburg C juniors, this championship will be more than just a series of games; It offers the opportunity to gain experience, develop further and strengthen team cohesion. There is much anticipation for the upcoming challenge and the girls are determined to give their fans an exciting weekend of football. With this in mind, all that's left to say is: Let's go, FCN!
