TSG Neustrelitz starts upside down season preparation: on to the Oberliga!

Neustrelitz, Deutschland - The football world is rotating again for TSG Neustrelitz! On Monday evening, the team under coach Thomas Franke started the preparation for the new season 2023/24 in the Oberliga Nord. With a squad of 17 players and three test players, things got down to business. This opening training unit at 6:05 p.m. included extensive warming, the Coopert test and a game over 2 × 25 minutes, followed by stretching exercises. "It was a decent start," said Franke, who praised the conditions and formulated clear goals.

After a mixed last season that TSG ended in seventh place, expectations are high. President Nico Manke would like to attack with a place in the upper third of the table, ideally up to fifth place and also play a good role in the state cup. "Playing attractive, fast football" - that is the motto for the new season, which will start with the first league game in six weeks. The first duel could take place against the promoted SV Siedenbollentin, which many are looking forward to.

Malte Gäbel, brother of Torben Gäbel, is also about to go to Neustrelitz after moving from the U19 of 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04 from the U19 of 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04

The squad is to be increased to around 22 to 23 players, which also includes the three goalkeepers. Justin Schultze has extended his contract, but is still fighting with the aftermath of an injury. "It is important that we will soon get into the rhythm," says Franke, making it clear that he wants three to four additional reinforcements for a successful seasonal result.
