Pentecost race 2026: MC Bergring is fighting for the future in motorsport!

Motorsport is simmering in the heart of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, as the Teterow Motorsport Club (MC) “Bergring” currently has to overcome major challenges in order to secure the International Whitsun Race in 2026. Loud SVZ The club's board of directors sees itself forced to reach an agreement with ADAC Hansa in order to hold the mountain ring race and the “Auerhahnpokal” for the coming years under its responsibility and on its own account.

The MC “Bergring” is currently having difficulty mobilizing the necessary human resources to organize the event itself. Key positions such as chairman and sports director remain vacant, while funding issues also cast a shadow over planning. Despite the payment of unexpected tax demands, the club's financial situation remains tense. There is no uniform concept for securing contracts for larger events, which leaves the organization of the race in jeopardy.

Perspectives and uncertainties

A proposal to advertise the mountain ring race to an external third party did not receive the approval of the general meeting. Nevertheless, ADAC Hansa has offered the club support in order to put the events on a secure footing over the next three years. The MC must submit an application to ADAC Hansa by September in order to advance the official collaboration. The ADAC should not only take care of partners in the areas of catering and security, but also organize the driver fields.

Amid all these uncertainties, motorsport in the region is still optimistic about the future. The ADAC Hansa offers several great events that make motorsport hearts beat faster. In the coming weeks we can expect, among other things, the ADAC Motocross State Championship in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the MX Park Plate on July 12th and 13th as well as traditional events such as the Classic Trial event of the OC Lüneburg on June 28th, 2025, which will take place in the trial area in Embsen, as the website of ADAC Hansa lists.

A good knack for planning

The events scheduled for the near future are a sign that the region has a strong motorsport community. These include, among others, the 77th ADAC Motocross German Motocross Championship OPEN on June 22nd on Rügen and the ADAC Porsche Club Cup event on August 2nd at the Bilster Berg Drive Resort. The variety of events in motorsport shows that there is no shortage of opportunities and that there is great anticipation of exciting competitions.

It remains to be seen whether the Teterow Motorsport Club will ultimately be able to turn things around and successfully hold the mountain ring race in 2026. What is clear, however, is that the club and ADAC Hansa are working together on a solution to maintain the tradition of motorsport in the region. During this challenging time, everyone involved could use a good hand in planning and organizing upcoming events.
