Theater Vorpommern is about to embark on an exciting new season, starting on July 7, 2025. Without an overarching motto, the ensemble concentrates entirely on playing and meeting the audience. As the South German newspaper reports, the aim is to arouse curiosity and promote exchange between visitors.

An extensive supporting program offers exciting insights behind the scenes. The new opera director Aurelia Eggers will delight the audience with classical and modern pieces. The program includes, among other things, the well-known opera “Carmen” by Georges Bizet, as well as an unusual reinterpretation of Stephen King’s “The Shining” as an opera. The children's opera “Holle!” is particularly suitable for young viewers. interesting, which deals with the topic of climate change.

Diverse offer for everyone

The ballet department provides a varied program with pieces such as “Alice in Wonderland” and “The Nutcracker”. An evening about the famous Marilyn Monroe will not be missed either. The Vorpommern Theater, which shines with its three venues in Putbus, Stralsund and Greifswald, has a long tradition and is now looking forward to new challenges.
