Shock accident on B105: Seven injured, including two children!

A total of seven people were injured in a tragic traffic accident on the B105 near Brandshagen in the Vorpommern-Rügen district on December 2, 2025. The incident occurred around 4:50 p.m. when an 81-year-old driver of a Skoda overlooked a vehicle with the right of way, a Mercedes, while turning. The collision that followed had serious consequences.

The 81-year-old woman who caused the accident and her 23-year-old passenger suffered serious injuries in the crash and were immediately taken to the Helios Hanseklinikum in Stralsund. But they weren't the only ones affected: There were two children in the Mercedes, aged 11 and 7, who were also seriously injured and had to be transported to the university medical center in Greifswald. Fortunately, the remaining occupants of the vehicles involved, including the 38-year-old driver of the Mercedes and two people in the Audi, only suffered minor injuries.

Course of the accident and rescue measures

According to initial investigations, there was a collision between the Skoda and the Mercedes, followed by another collision involving the Audi, whose driver was unable to stop in time despite emergency braking. The impact of the accident should not be underestimated: the three vehicles involved were so badly damaged that they were no longer roadworthy and had to be towed away. The material damage is estimated at around 90,000 euros, which illustrates the extent of the accident.

The B105 had to be completely closed for around 2.5 hours in order to carry out the rescue work and secure the accident site. First Police Chief Inspector Sebastian Meinhardt from the Neubrandenburg Police Headquarters reports that fortunately there were no other uninvolved road users who were involved in the accident. Nevertheless, this incident shows once again how important attention is in traffic.

The local police have started investigating the exact cause of the accident. In the meantime, our condolences go out to the injured and their families. Sunday could have been a much nicer one for those families traveling in the vehicles.
