Summer vacation special: Secure places in swimming courses for children now!

Schwerin, Deutschland - The summer vacation is just around the corner and in Schwerin and the surrounding area are the swimming courses high! The ASB Water Rescue Service Schwerin-Parchim has once again worked hard and organizes around 100 swimming and rescue swimming courses for children. With the aim of bringing up to 3,000 beginners closer to the wet element, numerous committed swimming instructors are in use.

Where can you visit the swimming courses? Here is an overview of the different locations and times:

• Neustadt Glewe, Barracuda Beach: Monday to Friday, 10 am-1pm; Rescue swimming courses on 19/20. July and 9./10. August, 10 am-6pm.
• Matzlow-Garwitz, Eldebad: swimming courses in the first four holidays, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Rescue swimming courses in the first and second holiday week, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
• Brüel, Roter See: swimming courses in the first and third holiday week, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Sternberg, bathing establishment: swimming courses in the first five holidays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Passow, bathing establishment: swimming courses in the last three holidays in the afternoon.
• Plau am See: swimming courses in the last three holidays, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
• Broock, Kritzower See: swimming courses in all six holidays, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Rescue swimming course on 2nd/3rd. August, 10 am-6pm.
• Demen, deeper lake: swimming courses in all six holidays, 10 am-1pm; Two rescue swimming courses on 12/13. July and 19./20. July, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Langen Brütz: swimming courses in the first two holidays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Neukloster, bathing establishment: swimming courses in the first three holidays in the afternoon and also in the third week of the holiday in the morning; Rescue swimming courses on 28/29. June, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Teterow, natural pool: swimming courses in the first four holiday weeks, 10 am-1pm; Rescue swimming course on 28/29. June, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

courses of the DRK Wasserwacht Parchim

But not only the ASB has something to offer. The DRK Wasserwacht Parchim also starts with its swimming courses in the summer vacation. The offers take place in Parchim and Dreenkrögen, each on different dates. Here is the most important data:

• Parchim: July 28 to August 1 and 25 to August 29, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Construction courses from August 25th to 29th.
• Dreenkrögen: 4. to August 8th and 1st to September 5th, each 2-17 p.m.; Construction course also during this time.
• Seehof: 11 to August 15 and 18 to August 22, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1pm to 4pm; Construction courses in the same periods.
• Malchow: 25 to 29 August, 9 am-12pm; Here too an advanced course this week.

The DLRG Schwerin also becomes active and offers beginner swimming courses in Bad Kleinen, which take place daily from 18 to August 22nd. One point that is particularly important: the children should meet some prerequisites for the course. From the age of 5, the little ones can start learning to swim. It is important that you are not afraid of water, be able to dive and develop confidence in new caregivers. In the event of health restrictions, a medical certificate is required, which confirms participation in the course, as the Wasserwacht emphasizes Schwerin.

For everyone who wants to further deepen their skills, the various institutions also offer swimming badges that occupy and knowledge in swimming. This includes the German swimming badge in bronze, silver and gold. Especially the early swimmer badge, also known as "seahorses", is not synonymous with safe swimming and should always be under supervision. An important detail that parents should consider.
