100,000 crocuses for Bad Doberan: save nature and beautify the city!
The crocuses will soon bloom in Bad Doberan! On November 8, 2025 at 10 a.m., all plant lovers and environmentalists will have the opportunity to take part in the largest crocus planting in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. The Klimanetz Bad Doberan e.V. is behind this colorful campaign. V., who not only wants to improve the cityscape with a total of 100,000 elf crocuses, but also wants to create important food sources for endangered insects.
The planting campaign takes place in Kamp, one of the central locations in Bad Doberan, and is intended to send a strong signal for biodiversity. All citizens can help with their own planting equipment. A joyful image of blooming crocuses is meant to usher in spring and show how green the future can be.
Supporters and funding
The project is supported by numerous local companies and institutions such as VR Bank Mecklenburg, Ostseesparkasse and the Voluntary Foundation MV. The financing comes from the winnings from the city bet of the NDR summer party, and citizens willing to donate are also welcome to access the Klimanetz Bad Doberan e.V. donation account: IBAN DE24 1305 0000 0201 1281 60, BIC NOLADE21ROS.
The organizers are calling on all Bad Doberans to take an active part and, if possible, to contribute donations. This not only supports the environment, but also creates a nice sense of community.
Health and well-being
But not only nature, but also our own well-being should not be forgotten. Good oral hygiene is essential to avoid diseases such as gum inflammation and other accompanying diseases. Gum pockets that are too deep can pose a serious health risk, as the medical website Smiles by Hanna explains. Gum pockets of 3 mm or less are considered healthy; However, if they are 4 mm or deeper, this can indicate unhealthy conditions.
Risk factors include plaque buildup and inflammation, which can eventually lead to serious illness if left untreated. A regular visit to the dentist plays a central role in making an early diagnosis and initiating appropriate treatments.
With a combination of good oral care, a healthy diet and regular check-ups, everyone can optimize their dental health. Brushing twice a day should also be an integral part of your routine to avoid plaque and keep your teeth healthy.
In summary, we can not only actively contribute to improving our environment, but also take care of our own health.
November 8th could not only be a crocus holiday, but also a day for your own health care!
