In the heart of Löcknitz, the Mia meeting center, which opened its doors in 2020, is being celebrated with a special anniversary this year. With the “Together in Action” program, the center focuses on dialogue, encounters and the reduction of prejudices. On September 20th, on World Children's Day, a big day of action will be organized that will primarily appeal to children, young people and families. This day begins at 12 p.m. with a prayer service and offers a colorful program that will put you in a good mood.
The highlights of the day of action include children's entertainment, a creative stand, ceramic works, a competition and a varied stage program. This show is put on by talented groups, including the children from the Randow-Spatzen daycare center, the cheerleaders from the Löcknitz German-Polish High School and the music and theater group from the meeting center. Even an accordion orchestra from Szczecin will raise expectations and you can look forward to surprising attractions. This day will not only be a celebration of togetherness, but also a celebration of hope.
A center for the community
With its commitment to social issues, the Mia meeting center has not only created a place for meetings, but is also a contact point for families in the region. Advice and support is offered here by Caritas, which is particularly helpful for families. The center attaches great importance to religious offerings and leisure activities, especially for children. This diversity ensures that everyone finds their place in society and feels welcome.
Particularly noteworthy is the Noah's Ark playground, which was created for younger visitors. Thanks to the generous support of numerous sponsors and funding from “Aktion Mensch”, this playground is a further step towards strengthening the community. Benches are planned for accompanying adults to further improve the meeting place. This ensures that families can experience not only a playground, but also community.
The center's motto, “Together in Action,” is reflected in all activities and ensures that 2023 will not only be a year of anniversary, but also of hope. The Mia meeting center is truly a ray of hope for the region and offers a space in which cultural and social diversity is celebrated.
