Something is happening in Stavenhagen! On December 13, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania State Police Orchestra invites you to a special benefit concert in theZweider Sports Hall. This festive event promises not only great music, but also the chance to contribute to an important project in the city. Advance ticket sales start on November 3rd and tickets are available at several points of sale, including the city ticket office, the Reutermuseum and the city library.
In keeping with the occasion, the concert will be accompanied by festive sounds and scenic presentations inspired by Charles Dickens' “A Christmas Carol”. Nordkurier reports that the proceeds from the concert and the donations collected will be used to set up a pump track in Stavenhagen. This special route is a circuit with waves and steep curves that allow you to build up speed by shifting your weight and is therefore designed for mountain bikes, BMX bikes, skateboards or scooters.
A project for all generations
The pump track project is aimed at children, young people, families as well as clubs, schools and daycare centers. People with disabilities should also be included, because the city is planning special action days. The exact location for the pump track facility has not yet been determined, but the city is examining various areas, including the Ivenacker Tor, the area around the school campus and the proximity to the forest pool. When choosing a location, it is important that the facility is easily accessible, safe and in keeping with the cityscape.
How much does it all cost? The construction costs for the project depend on various factors, such as size and design, whether modular or permanent asphalt solutions are chosen and where the final location will be. The financing is to be supported through citizen participation, workshops and an online dialogue so that the people of Stavenhagen can have a say in how and where the project will be implemented. Stavenhagen.de added that the city relies on donations to implement the project.
